The association has almost 50 years experience in representing and promoting the interests of all facets of the ceramic profession. The Swiss Ceramic
Association is a public corporation. It was founded in 1959 with the goal and purpose of advancing its members' ceramic work, their creative
developement, and their presence in the ceramic scene as well as to contribute to societies awarness and acceptance of contemporary ceramics. The
SCA is one of the cultural organizations which is supported yearly by the Swiss Departement of Culture. It is also supported by its membership dues, a
yearly Cultural Organization stipend, by different Cantonal funds and privat institutions on a project-by-project basis. The yearly budget is 118.000
swiss franks.
